Touch, Feel and Connect: Multisensory Stimulation for Integral Well-Being in the Special Education School
We propose a transformative experience: multisensory stimulation in the classroom. With this project, we seek to improve the emotional and physical well-being of our students with multiple disabilities, creating an enriching and inclusive learning environment.
The project proposes to implement multisensory stimulation in the classroom to improve the emotional and physical well-being of students with multiple disabilities. Through enriching and inclusive learning environments, we seek to enhance the integral development of students. The need for the project lies in the demand for a more adapted and inclusive education for students with multiple disabilities. Multisensory stimulation emerges as an essential tool to address these needs, improving the quality of life and promoting their integral development.
Targets
1. Establish multisensory environments in the classroom.
2. Provide sensory experiences for relaxation, stimulation and social interaction.
3. Adapt the space to meet the specific needs of each student.
4. Offer of intervention programs and activities directed by professionals in multisensory stimulation.
Approach and strategies
- Implementation of weekly sessions of three hours each, with an interdisciplinary team of professionals.
- Use of specialized equipment and materials for multisensory stimulation.
- Adaptation of the environment to optimize the sensory experience of each student.
Planned activities
1. Evaluation session of the individual needs of the students.
2. Design and preparation of the multisensory environment.
3. Implementation of intervention programs and multisensory stimulation activities.
4. Monitoring and constant adjustment of the activities according to the students' answers.
5. Evaluation of the impact and effectiveness of the project.
