Professional in the health field, he has a great academic background with diplomas in Business Sciences and a degree in Economic and Business Sciences from the University of Barcelona. Accredited as auditor and graduate of the PADE Program of the IESE Business School University of Navarra. His professional career is extensive and diverse. He was general director of Sant Joan de Déu Health Park (2009-2023), manager of the Barcelona Health Region of the Catalan Health Service (2004-2009) and director of the Catalan Health Service of the Department of Health and Social Security (2003-2004). In addition, he held the position of director general of the Economic Regime of Social Security in the Department of Economy and Finance (2001-2003), and was manager of the Coordination of Public Enterprises and Consortiums of the Catalan Health Service ( 2000-2001). Previously, he worked as manager of the Health Foundation of Igualada and of the Residence for the elderly Father Josep Vilaseca of Igualada (1999-2000), and as manager of the Health Consortium of Alt Penedès and of the Foundation Regional Hospital of Vilafranca del Penedès (1995-1998). In the international arena, he collaborated with the United Nations Development Program in Uruguay (1996) and managed economic-financial projects in Argentina (1997). As a leader in healthcare management, he has held positions such as chairman of the Board of Directors of the Anoia Health Consortium, chairman of the Board of Directors of Catlab, patron of the Althaia Foundation and IMANcorp FOUNDATION. Historically, he presided over the Unió Catalana d'Hospitals (2016-2023) and was part of the Employment Promotion Board (2016-2023), in addition to holding various roles on the boards of public companies and entities .
