Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine of Barcelona in 1985. Specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Barcelona (1985-1989). Specialization in Occupational Medicine by the UB (1987-88). Training in hospital management UCH (1998-99). From 2008, until 2021, he was general director of the Aspace Catalunya Foundation. Previously, he worked as a Resident Doctor in the obstetrics and gynecology service at the Hospital de Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona (1985-1989) and as an assistant doctor in the same hospital on-call service 1989/90; as head of service of the health program of the Department of Justice of Catalonia developing the tasks aimed at the reconversion of the penitentiary health system of Catalonia and as deputy medical director in the prisons of Wad Ras, La Model and the launch of Brians designing together with the team, the equipment and the structure and health model of the center (1989-1998) and medical director of the Sant Rafael Hospital in Barcelona (2004-2008).
