The Special Education School of the Aspace Catalunya Foundation ends the school year with a day designed for children, families and professionals to share experiences, music and sensory proposals in an environment of participation and community.
The Special Education School of the Aspace Catalunya Foundation held one of the most anticipated days of the year today: the summer party. A meeting that allowed us to say goodbye to classes by putting the children, their families and the educational team at the center, and strengthening the bonds that have been built throughout the year.
Beyond an end-of-year celebration, the party has been an opportunity to share the journey, recognize the learnings achieved and live a joint experience in an adapted, close and meaningful environment.
Proposals adapted to each group
During the morning, each class group prepared its own activity within the classroom. The proposals were designed taking into account the characteristics, needs and rhythms of each group, with the aim of ensuring that all children could participate and enjoy it with their families.
This first part of the day allowed us to experience more intimate and personalized moments.Classrooms have become spaces of discovery, emotion and complicity, where children, families and professionals They have shared experiences that add value to the work done during the course.
In everyday life, these types of proposals translate into opportunities for each child to express themselves, participate and relate to their abilities, with the necessary support and in a safe environment.
Music, movement and sensory experience
After the classroom activities, the entire educational community gathered in the schoolyard to continue the celebration with a joint musical proposal. Music filled the space with energy, movement and shared emotions, becoming a common language to connect, participate and enjoy together.
The activity incorporated different stimuli and resources so that children could experience music in a sensory and participatory way.Sounds, rhythms, movement and sensations have formed part of an experience designed to encourage everyone to participate at their own pace.
The proposal also included an activity with gelled water, which enriched the experience by combining play, sensory exploration and interaction with the environment. This moment created a particularly meaningful atmosphere, in which young and old were able to share emotions and experiences from a playful and inclusive perspective.
An educational community that walks together
The summer party has reinforced the value of the educational community as a space of trust, support and participation. Families have been able to share a part of the day-to-day life of the school, the children have been protagonists of the celebration and the educational team has accompanied every moment with the care and attention that characterize the Aspace model.
This day has also allowed us to highlight a way of understanding education based on personalization, support and response to highly complex situations. Each activity, each adaptation and each proposal have had the same objective: enabling children to participate, enjoy and share meaningful experiences.
We thus close a course full of learning, experiences and shared moments. We do so with gratitude to all the families for their participation and involvement, and with recognition to all the children, whose enthusiasm has made this party a very special day.
The Aspace Special Education School bids farewell to the school year with the memory of a day full of music, emotions and community, and with the desire to continue advancing in an educational model focused on people, participation and quality of life.
