An alliance with impact to protect the respiratory health of children and young people with high complexity

Aspace Catalunya and the Fundació Nou Mil·lenni with a shared vision join efforts to strengthen comprehensive care, with a special focus on early childhood and support for caring families

The Aspace Catalonia Foundation and the New Millennium Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement to promote the respiratory physiotherapy program aimed at children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities. The agreement reinforces a specialized and preventive service aimed at reducing respiratory complications, emergency episodes and hospitalizations, contributing to a more stable and comfortable life for children and their families.

La New Millennium Foundation, an entity committed to support for social, health and educational initiatives with impact, thus joins a project that consolidates comprehensive care for the most vulnerable people. This alliance is based on a shared vision and a common DNA, based on aligned values and a clear view of the future, with a special focus on early childhood and in the development of transformative actions. At Aspace Catalunya we continue to focus on institutional collaborations, which allow us strengthen and sustain the added value of our service, guaranteeing specialized and quality care.

During the signing ceremony, the vice president of the New Millennium Foundation, John Puig, highlighted the potential of the program and emphasized the desire to initiate a new stage of joint work “with enthusiasm and a look to the future”, as a starting point for a solid relationship of trust and collaboration.

The Respiratory Physiotherapy Service of Aspace Catalunya is designed to facilitate breathing, improve secretion management and minimize recurrent infections through interventions adapted to each case, also integrating training and support for families. The initiative is part of a model that connects the health, social and educational spheres, with the aim of reinforcing the autonomy and daily participation of children and alleviating the care and emotional burden of caregivers.
