People with cerebral palsy from the Aspace Poblenou Occupational Center create a podcast to make their stories visible and claim diversity
A group of people with cerebral palsy are challenging stereotypes and breaking barriers with a new inclusive podcast project which seeks to make their experiences visible and promote inclusion. This initiative, promoted by the Aspace Poblenou Occupational Center, has found Gabriel García Márquez Library the perfect setting for his first recording, a space internationally recognized as the best library in the world for two years.
The podcast, titled "Sit with us", is the result of a workshop that takes place throughout the course at the occupational center. The project involves people with different levels of autonomy, ages and perspectives, offering a diverse mosaic of ideas and reflections. The topics covered are broad and varied: love, everyday difficulties, music, dreams and challengesThe recording is a window into their authenticity, showing stories full of strength and emotion.
