With the support of the FC Barcelona Foundation's Sport4All program, the Aspace Catalunya Foundation promotes an innovative space that connects movement, health and real inclusion for people with cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities.
Movement can be therapy. It can be freedom. It can be dignity. And above all, it can be a right. That's how it's born "Earth in Motion", a pioneering proposal from Aspace Catalunya with the support of the Barça Foundation, which is committed to putting physical activity at the service of quality of life.
This space is not a conventional gym. It is an environment designed to offer personalized therapeutic exercise, with physiotherapy, sensory stimulation, aerobic activity and adapted sports. All designed so that people with cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities can find a place where moving is not an exception, but an opportunity.
What do we propose with this project?
- Guaranteeing the right to movement for everyone, without exceptions or barriers.
- Transform physical activity into a therapeutic and community tool.
- Create a replicable model that inspires other territories to take the step towards inclusive sport.
Why is it necessary?
- El 90% of people with multiple disabilities do not have access to an adapted environment to perform therapeutic exercise and physical sports activity.
- El 97% they improve functionally when they can participate.
- Sports exclusion is not an option. It is a structural injustice.
Thanks to the Barça Foundation
