The Aspace Catalunya Foundation and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya sign a collaboration agreement

The purpose of this agreement is to establish an effective collaboration for the development of research projects within the framework of the call for the Industrial Doctorate Program.

Both entities share common objectives in the areas of research, training and technological development. Recognizing the potential of a joint collaboration, it has been decided to establish an agreement that allows maximizing their respective knowledge and capabilities for the benefit of scientific development.

The Plan for Industrial PhD students, promoted by the Department of Research and Universities, wishes to promote the transfer of knowledge and the training of talent, thus contributing to the competitiveness and innovation of the country's productive fabric. In addition, it seeks to promote the social, cultural and economic progress of society, offering solid scientific and technical support.

With this strategic alliance, the Aspace Catalunya Foundation and the UPC will work on the development of joint lines of research, focused on improving the quality of life of people with cerebral palsy, neurodevelopmental pathologies and multiple disabilities. The aim is to develop innovative instrumental systems that help improve the living, educational and leisure conditions of this group, thus promoting their inclusion and well-being.

During the institutional event we took the opportunity to specify the objectives of the alliance and the first steps to be taken. They were present, Eng. Oscar Casas and Eng. Gemma Hornero UPC professors and researchers from the Instrumentation, Sensors and Interfaces group; on behalf of the Aspace Catalunya Foundation Mrs. Elena Puigdevall, Director General, Dra. Tamara Biedermann, Director of Health Services, and Eng. Àngel Aguilar, Head of the Resource Service and Support Technology.
