The ASPACE Confederation creates different projects in which various entities can participate. The Nutrition and Swallowing group of the Confederation's Talento ASPACE project, which in Catalonia coordinates the FEPCCAT, had its first meeting last Wednesday, January 23.
This working group is made up of professionals from various entities that work with people with cerebral palsy and other neurological developmental disorders, including the Aspace Catalunya Foundation, APPC de Tarragona, Institució Balmes, Fundació l'Espiga and Fundació Prodis. Two speech therapists from the school/day hospital, Andrea Gimferrer and Montse Guitard, are participating from our organization.
The aim of this project is to generate knowledge and exchange experiences, as well as to make known the good practices that are being developed in organizations around the food and swallowing of this group, so that other organizations and their professionals can take advantage of them and thus improve the care of people with cerebral palsy and similar pathologies.
