An innovative food and 3D technology project is born to improve the quality of life of people with cerebral palsy

The Aspace Catalunya Foundation is promoting a pioneering initiative that combines 3D printing and personalization to promote autonomy in eating for people with great support needs.

The Carrefour Solidarity Foundation has made possible the launch of a new state project that combines food and 3D technology with a clear objective: to guarantee safer, adapted and more effective food for people with cerebral palsy. Led in our entity by the CREA3D team, this project positions the Aspace Catalunya Foundation as a benchmark in the use of technological innovation at the service of inclusion.

This program is part of an initiative coordinated by the Aspace Confederation, which has identified needs based on its network of specialists in feeding and swallowing, as well as a recent study of the needs of entities in the sector. The central axis is the development of personalized adaptations using 3D printers and scanners in order to improve the eating experience of users.

Technological equipment and professional training

Thanks to this collaboration, the Aspace Catalunya Foundation has received two 3D printers, two 3D scanners and a case of adapted cutlery. In addition, the project foresees specific training to train professional teams in the design and implementation of these tools, promoting the effective adoption of technology in direct care.

This equipment will allow us to continue designing and producing personalized supports that facilitate the feeding of the people we care for, while promoting their autonomy and active participation in daily life.

Commitment to innovation and inclusion

This initiative not only represents a technological advance, but also a firm step towards dignity and equity in the care of people with disabilities. With the 3D Food and Technology project, the Aspace Catalunya Foundation reaffirms its commitment to social innovation and the empowerment of people with cerebral palsy.

From the CREA3D team, we celebrate being part of this transformation, where technology becomes a powerful tool at the service of quality of life and inclusion.
