The educational area of Aspace Catalunya has been selected to be part of the EduCaixa Leadership for Learning Program, an initiative that connects educational teams from all over the state to promote transformative, innovative projects with social impact. This milestone is, for Aspace, a great opportunity for internal growth, collective learning and strengthening commitment to quality inclusive education.
Dani Torrejon, director of the educational field, defines it this way: "Joining EduCaixa is much more than being part of a program: it is an opportunity to rethink ourselves, grow as professionals and learn how to do it better. It is an experience that will allow us to evolve from within, to be able to have a greater and better impact on the lives of children and families."
What is the EduCaixa Leadership Program?
The program, promoted by the ”la Caixa” Foundation, is a professional and institutional development itinerary aimed at management and teaching teams. It combines training, collective reflection, expert support and an international stay, with the aim of each team developing educational innovation projects in their centre.
As the organization itself explains, the program works with three main axes:
- Promoting pedagogical leadership to transform learning
- Promoting equity and inclusion through innovation
- Generate a state network of centers committed to educational change
Why is it key for the educational field of Aspace?
For the Aspace Catalunya team, this participation represents a unique opportunity to reflect on their own practices, incorporate new methodological tools and strengthen themselves as a collectiveAt the same time, it allows the experience of an entity specializing in the care of children with neurodevelopmental disorders, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities to be brought to the state debate, putting on the table the challenges and opportunities of inclusive education.
"It's an exciting challenge because it will make us grow internally and allow us to share everything we've learned with other teams. We won't just learn: we'll also bring our perspective to the whole.", says Dani Torrejón.
A program that has already inspired changes everywhere
As shown in the video from the last edition (see here), the EduCaixa program has helped educational centers across the country to rethink models, innovate in practices and generate real impacts in their contexts. For the educational field of Aspace Catalunya, joining this network is also a way to project itself into the future and expand its institutional impact.
A milestone to look forward to
This milestone marks a strategic moment for the educational field of Aspace Catalunya: it is recognition of the work done, but above all an opportunity to continue improving, innovating and growing as a team committed to inclusive, equitable and transformative education.
