The Aspace Catalunya Foundation has received an institutional visit from Candela Calle, manager of the Barcelona Metropolitan North Health Region. Accompanied by the deputy manager, Sweet Cortasa, and the director of the Barcelonès North and Maresme sector, Judit Viñals; and the director of the Vallès Occidental-Oest sector, David FerrandizThe main objective of the meeting was to deepen knowledge of the organization's activity, as well as its current projects and the lines of work it develops in the field of care for people with cerebral palsy, multiple disabilities and other neurodevelopmental pathologies.
During the visit, the manager held a meeting with the Foundation's management team, in which the challenges and needs of the group served were outlined, as well as the entity's efforts to offer comprehensive, person-centered and evidence-based care. Subsequently, she took a tour of the facilities, where she was able to learn first-hand about the day-to-day operations of the services and the reality of the users.
The Aspace Catalunya Foundation has given a very positive assessment of the visit, which represents an opportunity for strengthen ties with the health administration and highlight the essential role that third sector entities play in improving the quality of life of people with disabilities. The exchange has also allowed for the sharing of reflections on how improve the care and accessibility of the services that this Foundation provides in the territory of the Barcelona Metropolitan North Health Region, while promoting a fairer and more effective support network for everyone.
The meeting is part of the will of the Health Region of promote direct knowledge of the healthcare resources available in their territory of reference and promote coordination between institutions to move towards a more inclusive and equitable health and social system.
