La Aspace Catalonia Foundation has a significant stake in 48th World Hospital Congress of the International Hospital Federation (IHF), held in Geneva and co-organized by theUniversity Hospital of Geneva (HUG) under the motto "Global learning, local action"With a oral presentation and four posters, Aspace Catalunya has highlighted its leadership in digital transformation, collaborative innovation and the search for integrated care models for people with neurodevelopmental disorders, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities, consolidating itself as a international benchmark at the intersection between health, social and educational fields.

Innovation and participatory leadership: the Innovem Project

La general manager, Elena Puigdevall, has presented the paper "Driving innovation in integrated care: A participatory leadership model through the Innovem project", where he presented the results of the Innovem project, an emblematic initiative that promotes the shared leadership and the active involvement of professionals, families and users in the creation and improvement of social and health services.

This model has allowed increase team commitment i stably incorporate 65% of the innovations generated to the Foundation's services, consolidating a way of doing things based on collaboration and shared learning.

Posters that reflect a global commitment to applied innovation

Aspace Catalunya's presence at the congress has been completed with four posters that show their diversity of lines of work and their commitment to a innovation at the service of people:

  • "Understanding the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation in the care of people with complex disabilities and high healthcare and social costs", presented by Carlos Varela, Director of Transversal Operations and Social Area, analyzes how digitalization can improve care coordination and sustainability of services for people with complex disabilities.
  • "Empowering Individuals with Complex Neurological Conditions: Assistive Technology as a Tool for Autonomy and Participation", Yolanda Elipe, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, emphasizes the impact of the assistive technology in the promotion of personal autonomy and social participation.
  • "Co-designing integrated social and healthcare services: A design thinking approach to user-centered care", Tamara Biedermann, director of the Health Area, highlights the use of the Design Thinking to co-create integrated, personalized and person-centered services, with the active participation of patients and professionals.
  • "Integrated care through digital transformation: Neurona Project, a holistic approach for complex chronic conditions", presented by Carlos Varela, exposes how the Neurona platform promotes coordination between the social, health and educational spheres through digital solutions centered on the person. The project uses artificial intelligence technologies, telecare and remote monitoring to improve decision-making, reduce the administrative burden and encourage the active participation of professionals, families and users.
