A delegation from the Government of South Korea has visited the Aspace Catalunya Foundation

Friday, September 30, 2022 – During the morning we received a visit from the Autonomous Government of the City of Namyangiu, South Korea, specifically the heads of services from different areas of the Department of Social Services.

The purpose of the visit was to get to know the Fundació Aspace Catalunya, and to be able to learn about the management model and the organization's care model.

Ms. Elena Puigdevall, general manager and Mrs. Miriam Torrella, director of daytime and residential care services, was able to explain the care model centered on the person, the multidisciplinary approach to people with multiple disabilities at a health, social and educational level, explaining the different services available at the organization, the different disciplines of intervention and the different outstanding projects, such as environmental control, support technology for people's autonomy, neurorehabilitation or good practices for well-being, quality of life and the integration of people with cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities throughout their life cycle, as well as support for their families.

However, they have shown interest in the public health, social and educational network that exists in Catalonia, as well as the networking with entities in the sector and the public network that we carry out from Aspace to serve the collective, and how we learn and we network to reach excellence in care for people with cerebral palsy, neurodevelopmental pathologies and multiple disabilities.

It has been a very enriching visit and exchange of experiences and knowledge. At the same time, we are happy and proud that our care and management model is a benchmark for other countries in the world when it comes to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities.
