A collaborative project between the Aspace Catalunya Foundation and the Pere Tarres Foundation has allowed, throughout the autumn, both people with cerebral palsy and other complex neurological pathologies, as well as their families, to enjoy leisure activities and breath
This initiative, in which more than 130 young people and adults from the organization have participated, highlights the need for people with cerebral palsy and other complex neurological pathologies to have access to leisure and leisure in order to facilitate socialization and active participation in society. Promoting the autonomy of the group, as well as providing support to families who at certain times may experience burdensome situations, has been the main motivation to go ahead with this project which has been developed in two directions. On the one hand, the realization of group activities and, on the other, the individualized home respite service.
The assessment has been very positive. Both users and families have expressed their satisfaction and confidence. According to the results of the surveys carried out by the Pere Tarres Foundation, the team of professionals in charge of the activities has been rated with the highest score. The activities carried out, as well as the satisfaction of the users, have obtained a general score between 4 and 5 - with 5 being the maximum score.

In these moments more than ever, given the exceptional situation we continue to experience due to the covid pandemic, we must keep in mind the importance of the inclusion and participation of the collective in society. We hope to continue working together to make this a reality.
