The Aspace Foundation participates in the 45th IHF in Dubai

The Aspace Catalunya Foundation, a leader in the treatment of cerebral palsy and neurodevelopmental diseases, participates in the 45th World Hospital Congress in Dubai which brings together the world's hospital leaders, health services and health organizations around the world to discuss the key factors of the general management of healthcare entities.

At the congress organized by the International Hospital Federation (IHF) under the title Global Learning, Local Actions: Sustainable Health Care, Aspace has presented the poster "Modernization of Health Services accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic at our Foundation through technology", and has exposed Aspace's contribution to the 2030 agenda, through impact work on different SDGs - Sustainable Development Goals -.

With this poster Aspace has shown the easy applications they have developed, the different SAACs (augmentative and adaptive communication systems), home automation, the use of augmented reality and resources such as the quantum package for training of the electric wheelchair with different types of controls. In all these support technology tools, many professionals have intervened with the highest quality standards and giving the best humanized and close attention, always thinking of the person, in accordance with an individualized and specific therapeutic plan, with the goal of achieving the highest quality of life and autonomy.

Of the 300 posters presented and 146 accepted, the Aspace Foundation was one of the finalists. The delegation sent to Dubai declares that: "we feel proud and happy about the great work done thanks to the whole Aspace team for this international recognition in the best congress in the world of health management".

The World Congress of Hospitals of the International Hospital Federation (IHF), has focused on how health organizations must work globally in mutual collaboration and with the public and private sectors, to address the problems that affect us all and in offer change leadership alternatives to provide more sustainable health services.

Regarding the ODS of the 2030 Agenda, Aspace has shown the actions of the foundation and how they are facing the challenges posed by sustainability: "We have presented our corporate social responsibility work plan relating it between the different SDGs and the 5 vectors worked on; that is to say, how we affect the good governance of the entity, economic sustainability, the area of ​​people, the social or environmental factor in the day-to-day of the organization:

  • Working for a transparent and sustainable governance model.
  • Disseminating different quality protocols in resource management.
  • Providing good practices for the well-being of professionals.
  • Formalizing social impact policies and commitment to social rights.
  • Contributing with small actions against the climate crisis.
  • Establishing alliances with other entities in the sector to optimize resources and become a more solid entity".
