The Honorable Ms. Dolors Bassa i Coll, Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Families, visited the Montjuïc Comprehensive Center of ASPACE this morning.
The honorable councilor was received by the president of ASPACE, Mr. Lluís Farrés, the vice-president of the Board of Directors of ASPACE, Mr. Jordi Portella, the General Manager, Mr. Carles Sanrama and the members of the Management of the service areas of ASPACE.
The meeting served to get to know first-hand the work carried out by our organization towards people with cerebral palsy and other developmental pathologies throughout its almost 57 years of history.
During the guided tour, the counselor exchanged opinions and experiences related to our users, she heard testimonies of what the day-to-day life of the people who use the center and the Residence is like. He was able to see how they participate in daily activities, visiting the sports center, the physiotherapy room, the multi-sensory room, the swimming pool, the classrooms where workshops are held, the day care services and the coexistence units of the residence, among others
After the visit, a working meeting was held in which the directors of the ASPACE service areas explained the work carried out in each of them, emphasizing the reality of the care sector person with cerebral palsy in Catalonia and the future challenges of the entity.
