Social networks are turned upside down with the "No mires a otro lado" campaign to make visible the sexuality of people with cerebral palsy
Social networks have managed to viralize the "Don't look the other way" campaign launched by the ASPACE Movement (Associations for the Care of People with Cerebral Palsy) to claim the right to the sexuality, affectivity and intimacy of people with cerebral palsy.
Coinciding with the celebration of World Cerebral Palsy Day, the ASPACE Movement has sought to appeal to all of society to contribute to meeting the needs of the more than 120.000 people with cerebral palsy in Spain.
This initiative, which has a spot and a video clip, has as its central axis a song created by the group 'Ravioli Makers' to raise awareness of the importance of to normalize sexuality and affectivity in this group.
This spot has been broadcast nationally and locally on different television channels such as Atresmedia and Mediaset, and on social networks it has been viewed more than 20.000 times. For its part, the video clip has obtained more of 33.000 reproductions. In addition, all materials have been viewed more than 60.000 times and the reach of the campaign has exceeded the 165.000 people with more than 5.000 direct interactions.
On twitter, on October 3rd #MiraDeFrente campaign hashtag it was a trending topic national for more than five hours, reaching the fifth position at various times of the day. In addition, it was also a trending topic in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, Zaragoza and Las Palmas. Throughout the day #MiraDeFrente was mentioned in almost 5.600 tweets by more than 1.750 participants. More than 15 million impressions of the hashtag were generated.
Among the most prominent personalities who have joined this year's 'Don't look away' campaign, journalists, artists, presenters and influencers such as Antonio Banderas, Sara Carbonero, Sara Baras, Rosa López, Carlos Latre, Jandro, Ariadne stand out Artiles, Teresa Perales, Elena Furiase, Roko, Bombai or Marian Ávila among others. In addition, bloggers such as María Pacheco, Ema Cabanyes, Alfonso Sempere or Mònica Moratinos and the Valencia Basket Club have also participated.
Finally, different politicians, institutions, companies and organizations dedicated to disability united on this day by supporting the collective through their social networks such as Rares no invisibles, the Congress of Deputies, CERMI, ILUNION, 20 minutes, Soziable , La Caixa Social Work, Vodafone Foundation, Carrefour Solidarity Foundation, Mediaset, ASPAYM, Caser Foundation, AXA Foundation, or COCEMFE.
