On Tuesday, at the Palau de la Generalitat, the annual meeting was held Disability Council of Catalonia (CODISCAT) headed by the president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonés, and the Minister of Social Rights, Carlos Campuzano.
Elena Puigdevall, general director of the Fundació Aspace Catalunya on behalf of the Federation of Cerebral Palsy and the Multiple Disabilities of Catalonia (FEPCCAT), has attended the meeting in which the approval of the Accessibility Code of Catalonia that will enter into force on March 1, 2024. This rule details the measures on accessibility applied to urban planning, transport, products and services, both public and private and in existing or newly created spaces.
The code represents a very significant qualitative leap with respect to the current regulations, and it represents a necessary advance to make Catalonia a fully accessible country for everyone.
