Last November 8 and 9, a physical activity of a recreational nature was carried out at the CIM Montjuïc with the joint participation of the residence centers, Poblenou and Badalona.
The objective was to carry out a set of tests of more or less intensity, where the most relevant was cooperation, the overall strategy to achieve the set objective. That is why the teams were made up of users from residence, Poblenou and Badalona mixed.
There were 10 stalls spread throughout the center, although the teams only had time to do four with the two and a half hours we had. In some of them there were new activities, such as the adapted bicycles in the stand "Did you say about wheels?" In others we repeated the format of activities that had been very successful in training in September, such as the "cooperative relays" and in others we emphasized the more emotional dimension such as the test of "Hold the laugh and mark kisses" or "The big hug".
The weather played a trick on us, as we had the first drop in temperatures of the autumn with very strong winds, but we managed anyway: "The Shredder", an exciting string game, we moved it to the interior, and from the other high terraces of the CIM, we can see the summit of Collserola, abrigadets, abrigadets... while doing launches and testing the adapted bikes.
A resounding success was "cone aerobics", an activity where the participants alternated between dancing and running; the "sports riddles" and their answers, challenged the ingenuity and sports knowledge of the participants. Many of these questions and answers will be used to create the board game "Adapted Road to Tokyo 2020".
In addition to the sports team, we had the invaluable help of volunteers, assistants from all the centers and people from the house, who lent themselves to being accomplices in our idea, sharing the work of the office with that of the "checking point", a point where the exchange of points achieved through images was done, with which a visual mural would be made in the sports hall at the end of the tests.
We will soon attach a link so that all participants can rate the activity. Your opinion would be very useful for us to keep improving.
