A pilot project in which the sports service has participated.
Throughout the course, the sports service has been collaborating with the organization "tan amigos" in the activity of assisted therapy with animals.
Our objective has been to explore the possibilities of games and forms of play for sports initiation with the presence of therapy dogs, and to see the acceptance of a playful format in this therapeutic activity.
First it was the users who showed us what they had learned, to know how to give commands to the animals. The organization's specialist has been teaching us what guidelines to follow in order for the dogs to obey and how to maximize the relationship between the dog and the user.
Then we tried and adapted usual activities of sports initiation until we found that the dogs not only attended the activity, but in some cases were part of the game as participants.
The activity has been well received by users, and we have seen that it can be a line to continue exploring.
