Students with cerebral palsy will improve their autonomy and be able to participate more actively in all areas of their lives and with their environment, thanks to the ICT promotion project for students with cerebral palsy during the 2017-2018 school year, project launched by the ASPACE Confederation and financed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.
There have been 20 ASPACE entities from all over Spain, including us, the beneficiaries of this project, which is framed in the model of the ASPACE Active Citizenship Network, will carry out one of the two training actions offered by the ASPACE Confederation and addressed to direct care professionals in special education centers. These actions will be intended for the practical handling of technological tools in the classroom and for expression and participation through different technological tools.
The training action that will be carried out in our school is the practical handling of technological tools in the classroom, with the aim of exposing in a practical way the main technological resources to improve the autonomy and participation of the people, through the use of computers, tablets, digital boards, etc. for people with access difficulties. This will benefit 20 participants from the school with 2 sessions of 4 hours each, the training will take place in May and/or June.
Thanks to these trainings, professionals will also be able to learn about the main technological resources available to improve the autonomy and participation of their students and students with great support needs, through the use of computers, tablets, digital whiteboards, etc. ... Likewise, professionals will learn about the technological products applied in the classroom, through fun learning experiences, which will make it easier for students to participate in the environment, and to assimilate pedagogical content adapted to the capacity and activity of each one.
All with the aim of promoting the active participation of students with cerebral palsy and similar, who have high support needs, especially in communication, through the use of TAC (Technologies of support and communication), to more than enhancing stimulation and interaction with the environment.
ICT is an element present in classrooms, schools and education in general.
