The magazine Connection celebrates 25 years of history, consolidating itself as a benchmark for inclusive and participatory communication. A unique project, promoted and led by an editorial team made up of people with neurodevelopmental disorders, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities, which over two and a half decades has contributed to transforming the way society understands disability.
Since its beginnings, Connection It has not only been a magazine: it has been a platform for a voice of its own, a space for real representation and an instrument of social change. A project that places people at the center, not as objects of information, but as protagonists of the story.
A trajectory that evolves with society
Over these 25 years, the magazine has been able to adapt to new formats, languages and channels, incorporating talent, innovation and new perspectives without losing its essence: the commitment to inclusion, rights and visibility.
Its pages have addressed key issues such as universal accessibility, the rights of people with disabilities, the reality of women with disabilities, and advances in the social and healthcare sector. It has also given space to personal reflections and testimonies that provide a direct, authentic, and often invisible perspective.
Besides, Connection It has become a tool for disseminating the person-centered care model and healthcare integration of the Aspace Catalunya Foundation, reinforcing its role as an information channel aligned with the real needs of the group.
Much more than a magazine: an empowerment tool
The value of Connection lies in its transformative function. The project offers people with high complexity a space to express themselves, develop communication and digital skills and actively participate in social and cultural life.
Writing, expressing opinions and publishing is not just a communicative exercise: it is a tool for empowerment, self-esteem and identity construction. It is also a way to generate impact and make a voice heard that has too often been silenced.
A perspective that transforms society
With each edition, Connection It contributes to breaking stereotypes, generating awareness and moving towards a more just, accessible and inclusive society. Putting issues such as rights, inequality and intersectionality on the table makes complex realities visible and promotes a necessary debate.
25 years connecting, inspiring and generating impact
This anniversary is, above all, recognition of a collective project sustained over time thanks to the commitment of its editorial team and the support of professionals and collaborators who have been part of it.
Connection It looks to the future with the same vocation with which it was born: to continue generating spaces for real participation, amplify voices and contribute to a profound social transformation.
Because communicating is also transforming.
