An institutional visit opens up new opportunities for collaboration in innovation, research and development of advanced healthcare models.
The Aspace Catalunya Foundation visited Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA-Australia), one of the world's most respected organizations supporting people with cerebral palsy and complex disabilities. The visit, held in Australia with Jo Ford, CPA's General Manager of Therapy, is part of Aspace Catalunya's strategy to foster international alliances and global partnerships.
On behalf of Aspace Catalunya, Carlos Varela Ferro, operations director of Aspace Catalunya, shared the Foundation's institutional journey, the strategic roadmap and its most innovative current projects.
The working session revealed multiple areas of alignment between the two organizations, especially in:
- Integrated, person-centered health and social care with a strong focus on quality of life.
- Sustainable and transversal service management models.
- Development of an ecosystem of innovation and applied research.
- Early intervention model through Petit Aspace – Day Hospital (0 – 3 years)
- The use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence to improve service delivery.
- The active participation of individuals and families as drivers of organizational change.
This meeting reinforces the relationship of trust with a world leader in the field and positions Aspace Catalonia as a strategic actor on the international stage in support of disability. The open dialogue with Australia – CPA paves the way for future collaborations in areas such as applied research, co-design of care models, and mutual exchange of evidence-based knowledge and impact.
For Aspace Catalunya, establishing alliances with organizations that share a transformative and evidence-based vision is key to advancing our shared mission of guaranteeing rights, quality and innovation in support services for people with disabilities.
We sincerely thank the entire team at the Australia Cerebral Palsy Alliance, and especially Jo Ford, for their warm welcome and collaborative spirit. We remain committed to building global networks that generate knowledge, foster talent and increase real-world impact on the lives of the people we support.
Global vision, local commitment and a transformative purpose.
