Social commitment is the engine that drives the various teams and services of the Aspace Catalunya Foundation in their daily mission. From their dedication in community areas to the promotion of inclusion and the well-being of the most vulnerable, these professionals develop a shared responsibility in building a fairer and more cohesive society.
The Early Care Center, the Badalona and Poble Sec Occupational Therapy Center, the Special Education School and the Rehabilitation Centers are living witnesses of this delivery. Through a series of innovative and collaborative projects, they have become essential pillars of the community, sharing experiences in the lives of neighbors, young people and adults in the districts where they develop their activity.
The CDIAP has been a key player in the development of the "Barcelona City Council's Digital Wellbeing Government Measure", an initiative with more than 50 actions aimed at promoting healthy screen use among children and adolescents. This collaboration stands out for its commitment to preventing problems such as addiction and cyberbullying, placing the health and well-being of young people at the center of its concerns.
We also intervene in the community by participating in the following prevention activities

Aspace Special Education School
The Special Education School, for its part, has set itself the challenge of promoting equal opportunities through projects such as "Play is a Right!", which seeks to guarantee that all children can enjoy public space in an inclusive and safe way.
- We participate in the Project "Playing is a right!", promoted by the Poblesec Community Plan. It is a project in which different schools in the Poblesec neighborhood have participated, claiming public spaces in the neighborhood as playable spaces. Some students from the school made a project to convert a current green area above the Olympic Museum, close to our school, into an adapted and inclusive children's park for all children. This project aims to claim the right to play that all boys and girls have.
- We participate in intergenerational projects. On the one hand, between the students of the school and the users of the Aspace residence through the Cooking Workshop, the visit of the Punt Verd Mòbil Escolar and recycling workshop, with the aim of promoting the basic principles of coexistence and strengthening affective capacities. On the other hand, we organize meetings with the siblings of some students, to create bonds between siblings and teach what we do in the classroom.
- We participate in the Barcelona City Council's Schools + sustainable project, OLES + SUSTAINABLES OF THE CITY OF BARCELONA: where educational centers are people of change in the city. Through work with the school garden and waste management we face the challenges of sustainability and the climate emergency.
Finally, the Rehabilitation Centers have established alliances with institutes and other entities to provide support and training to teachers in the care of children with special needs, contributing to the creation of a more equitable and enriching educational environment for all students.
