The Aspace Catalunya Foundation publishes a key article in the magazine "Profitability in Healthcare"

The Aspace Catalunya Foundation, a non-profit institution that offers health, social and educational services to more than 2.500 people with cerebral palsy, neurodevelopmental disorders and multiple disabilities, has published an innovative article in the magazine "Profitability in Healthcare" in a of the four annual Health Management publications.

The article highlights the challenges that the Fundació Aspace Catalunya has faced during its exponential growth in recent years with an increase in health activity of more than 95%. In addition, it has sought new opportunities through academic research, innovation and alliances with other entities.

This, together with increased complexity in care and operational processes, has posed challenges in monitoring performance and making strategic decisions. To manage services at scale while remaining a person-centered organization, it is necessary to incorporate new tools to assist members in decision-making and measuring the quality of care.

The Foundation is not only a complex agent by itself, but is also an active participant in a Complex Adaptive System (CAS) in collaboration with other elements of the Catalan Public Health system.

The article highlights the use of the Comprehensive Command Framework (CMC) as an essential instrument to address the challenges. This dynamic tool helps establish key performance indicators and maintain a focus on care quality and the patient dimension, improving the entity's ability to implement its strategy.
