Innovation as a driver of continuous improvement

At the Aspace Catalunya Foundation, we consider that innovation is essential to constantly update and improve our services, offering highly specialized and reference care. This conviction allows us to respond effectively to the increasingly specific needs of people with neurodevelopmental pathologies, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities.

Our axes of innovation

Web and mHealth monitoring platforms

We use the Physiotec platform for continuous care in physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Through this platform, we allow professionals to efficiently monitor patients' progress, offering personalized exercises and remote monitoring. This improves the quality of treatments and facilitates communication between therapists and patients outside of face-to-face sessions.

Dynamic sessions in psychology and speech therapy

We use the NeuronUP platform for the assessment and monitoring of our patients in psychology and speech therapy. This tool allows us to adapt the sessions according to the specific needs of each person, offering cognitive and neurological rehabilitation exercises that improve their quality of life and functional independence. At the same time, we launched the NeuronUP2GO, promoting the home care service to facilitate the accessibility of the provision of services and the care continuum.

Advanced ratings

We perform anthropometric, gait, balance and coordination assessments with Tyrotherapy, using precise and advanced technologies that allow us to obtain detailed and objective data efficiently. These assessments are essential for an accurate diagnosis and a personalized treatment plan.

Virtual reality

We implement technologies such as Tyromotion's Pablo Lower Extremity and Tymo, as well as the Wii video console with Wii Fit, to improve patients' neurorehabilitation and functionality through exercises in a controlled virtual environment. This innovative approach can increase motivation and improve treatment outcomes.

augmented reality

We integrate augmented reality into our therapies to provide a more immersive and interactive neurorehabilitation experience. Using webcam devices, patients can interact with virtual elements overlaid on the real world, facilitating cognitive and physical exercises that are tailored to their specific needs. This technology helps improve motivation, engagement and overall therapy outcomes.

Work of the march

We use a treadmill with and without suspension through the overhead crane, providing a safe platform for gait neurorehabilitation. This technology allows us to adapt the exercises according to the needs of each patient, improving their mobility and confidence.

Voice controlled virtual assistants

We use Alexa for interactive gaming and environment control, giving patients a fun and interactive way to improve their cognitive and functional skills through voice commands and adaptive activities.

Assisted kinesitherapy

We apply motorized technologies for people with movement restrictions, using devices such as the Motomed that facilitate the performance of specific exercises to improve muscle strength and coordination, thus increasing the patients' functionality.

Touch screens and webcam

We work on fine motor skills and use augmented reality games using touch screens and webcams. This methodology allows for a fun and educational interaction that improves the patients' manual dexterity and encourages their active participation in the therapeutic sessions.

Maps of experience

We create maps to document and improve the activities we perform, using constant feedback to optimize our procedures and adapt therapies to the particular needs of patients, thus ensuring continuous improvement in therapeutic outcomes.

Innovem project

The INNOVEM Project is an initiative of the Aspace Catalunya Foundation aimed at organizational transformation to constantly adapt to the evolution of the sector. This project aims to innovate in the provision of services and activities to increase their value, based on innovation and the active participation of our professionals.

Innovation is an emerging force in the sector, driven by the need to translate knowledge and research into effective improvements. This process must be integrative, aligning common interests with the participation of all stakeholders. The aim is to improve the experience of users, their families and professionals.

The INNOVEM project aims to facilitate our professionals to apply creativity to find innovative solutions that improve the processes and services we offer. At the same time, make professionals aware of their creative and innovative capacity and stimulate the spirit of innovation as systematic research and exploitation of the opportunities in their environment.

Innovation

The INNOVEM Project is looking for innovative ideas that can address various areas such as assistance, training and management. The phases of the project consist of:

1. Participation

Volunteer for all foundation professionals, with a maximum of three projects per participant.

2. Evaluation Criteria

Compliance with the rules of the competition, relevance in five key dimensions (reliability, receptivity, security, empathy, and ecological responsibility).

3. Innovation Day

It is a day of meeting between all the professionals of the Fundació Aspace Catalunya where we also gather a group of experts and other agents from the sector involved with the aim of promoting creativity and collaboration in the development of new ideas. During this event, inspiring presentations are given by innovation specialists, interactive teamwork sessions are held and the finalist projects of the innovative ideas competition are presented. In addition, there is an "elevator pitch" where the participants defend their proposals before a jury, which selects the winning idea that will be implemented by the Aspace Catalunya Foundation. This meeting serves as a platform to exchange knowledge, explore new opportunities and build a culture of innovation within the organization.
