Our units are organized in two different lines, based on the age and maturity level of the students:

LINE 1

It includes students with special educational needs who have the ability to achieve small learnings from the ordinary school curriculum, through adaptations.

LINE 2

It includes students with multiple disabilities, with whom a multisensory approach is prioritized to promote their development in a harmonious way.

Each classroom has an interdisciplinary work team made up of:
  • Special education teacher
  • Speech therapist
  • Physiotherapist
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Dining and recreation monitor

In addition, the school has a psychology team, a team of nurses and assistants, a music therapist and a social worker, who work cross-functionally with all the classrooms.

As a result of our comprehensive care model, the Foundation's educational and health areas work together in order to offer an approach of excellence. This approach is not only central to the educational purpose, but also emphasizes the importance of complementary health services, essential for students with a high profile of complexity.

The Importance of a Comprehensive and Differential Approach

Our unique educational and care model fuses quality educational services with comprehensive health care provided by Hospital de Dia. This collaboration allows us to offer personalized and continuous attention, significantly improving the quality of life of our students.

The health services provided by Hospital de Dia include specialized medical treatments, re-education and various therapies (physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy), nursing care, social work, technological resources and adaptation of the environment. All this with the aim of supporting and improving the autonomy and well-being of our students.

The integration of health services within the educational context allows the individual needs of each student to be addressed from various perspectives, guaranteeing holistic and effective care. Thus, the ASPACE Special Education School is positioned as a benchmark in the education and care of people with cerebral palsy and other developmental pathologies.

We welcome you to this great community where, together, we will work to provide our students with the best opportunities to grow, learn and thrive with the right support. Thank you for trusting us.
